 Costa Rica Cell Phone Rental Rates

IMPORTANT!  We offer FOUR calling Plans.  ALL Plans allow you to receive calls locally and internationally, but only Plans Three and Four allow international calling.  If you need to call "back home", make sure you choose the correct plan!

Plan One - Can not make international calls but can receive them. Use this plan if you will NOT need to makes calls to any other country.

Plan Two - Same as Plan One but provides you an 800 number to give to your family and business associates to call you at no charge to them.

Plan Three - Full International service.  You are able to make and receive international calls to any country in the world direct dialing from your phone.

Plan Four - International Saver Plan! This is a combination plan that uses a Plan One Costa Rica only phone but we provide calling card(s) so you CAN make international calls anywhere using the calling card!  You get more FREE minutes than Plan Three offers. Only available for rentals of 7 days or more.

Planning a long term visit or move to Costa Rica?

The Long Term Rental Plan is for rentals of THREE MONTHS or longer. Email us with your day and evening phone numbers, and we will be in touch. Note we will not be able to communicate by email as there are numerous details that can only be handled efficiently by phone.

Plan One - Costa Rica Calling Only

With this Plan you can RECEIVE International Calls
but you cannot MAKE International calls.

Other Terms and Services:  Please read carefully.

• Important:  There is a minimum per day usage for all Plans.  This is cumulative and the total minutes can be used at any time during the rental period.

• Delivery and pickup are FREE for all rentals of at least seven days or longer.

• Phone is delivered with accessories, including an owners manual.  English versions of the owners Guides are available here.

• A telephone security deposit of $125-$250 (depending on brand of telephone) is due upon delivery.  We also require a usage deposit based on the length of the rental period.  You will receive the exact amounts in our confirmation email.

• First Period rental is also due in full at time of delivery.

• You must have a valid email address and phone number for all rentals.

• You are responsible for all damages to the phone and accessories.
  We will program you Voice Mail with a message in English or in Spanish.  Let us know in the Comments section of your reservation form.

• We can provide toll free 800 service on ANY plan that will ring on your cellular phone.  Please mention this under Comments when you reserve the phone.  This service is an additional $0.20 per minute from the USA or Canada.  It is included in the 800 Combo Plan.

• About 75% of Costa Rica has cell phone coverage.  We can make no guarantee if you will have service everywhere you travel. Nearly all heavily traveled tourist locations DO have coverage, but the only way to know for sure would be to call (not write) to the locations you will be traveling and ask them if there is cell coverage where they are.

• Rates subject to change at any time without notice, but we never change rates for confirmed reservations.  You are protected!

Discounts

Note:  We offer a 10% discount from the RENTAL per minute rates only, to members of the Association of Residents of Costa Rica - ARCR.  To receive this discount you MUST provide your current membership number in the comments section of the reservation form.  You must be a paid member at the time of the rental and  at the time of the reservation!

Here are the three most common reasons:

1. Parents with children whose cell phones are blocked for international calling.

2. Business people who want their clients to be able to r4each them but NOT pay for an international call.

3. People with aging parents or other family who want a simple way to call internationally without having to deal with international calling and country codes
